Ahmet Çağlar Özketen, born in 1988, completed his high school education at MEV Private İzmir Science High School. He graduated from Middle East Technical University, Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics in 2011. He received his master's degree (2013) and doctorate (2019) from the METU Biotechnology program.
Ahmet Çağlar Özketen who worked in the fields of microbial biotechnology and plant biotechnology during his graduate education, has publications and patents on the development, modification, and applications of DNA, RNA, and protein-based smart biomaterials. Ahmet Çağlar Özketen, who conducted postdoctoral research in various national and international projects, joined Near East University, Experimental Health Sciences Research Center (DESAM) in 2023. At DESAM Research Institute, he works to develop next-generation strategies for disease detection, prevention, and protection via advanced biotechnological methods.
