Today, chronic viral infections are the cause of global health problems and remain serious. In particular, HIV, HBV, and HCV are the leading chronic viral infections. The basic reproduction rate in our country has been increasing over the years. On the other hand, there are extraordinary increases in mass movements due to reasons such as migration, war, human trafficking, tourism and education. The increase in mass movements necessitates controlling viral infections, understanding their course, preventing possible epidemics, and making predictions about the future. Our DESAM Research Institute Viral Dynamics Research Group aims to develop an official HIV/AIDS and viral hepatitis registry system so that we can learn about the threats posed by the disease and take possible measures to combat it. The group carries out studies in order to reveal the epidemic characteristics of HIV, HBV, and HCV infections, to examine the distribution dynamics with phylogenetic analysis, to develop mathematical models for this purpose, to use artificial intelligence and fuzzy logic systems in diagnosis and treatment, to make useful simulations for the future, and to develop control analyses.
