Dr. Nazife Sultanoğlu

Nazife Sultanoglu was born in Nicosia, Cyprus in 1991. In 2014, she graduated with 2.1 from the University of Manchester BSc. in Medical Biochemistry and in 2015 with distinction from the University of Manchester MSc. in Medical Virology. Afterwards, she continued her research at the University of Cyprus HIV reference laboratory for one year. In 2018, she started her PhD. in Medical Microbiology and Clinical Microbiology at Near East University (NEU), and in 2021, she defended her doctoral thesis titled 'COVID-19: Northern Cyprus As a Good Model to Prevent Spread of the Disease' and received the title of doctor with GPA of 4.00.

From March 2018 to April 2021, she worked as a research assistant at NEU DESAM Research Institute. Since 2021, she has been working as a postdoctoral researcher at NEU DESAM Research Institute.

Dr. Nazife Sultanoglu was appointed as the event coordinator and website manager of DESAM Research Institute in 2024. Dr. Nazife Sultanoglu has published numerous articles in national and international indexed journals, and has given speeches and presentations at congresses and symposiums. Her academic interests include the study of HIV, SARS-CoV-2, and the analysis of various infectious agents with Mathematical modelling and Artificial Intelligence. She is married and has a daughter.
