Melis KALAYCI was born in Istanbul in 1998. She graduated from Private Antalya College High School in 2016 and from Near East University Molecular Biology and Genetics department in 2020. KALAYCI, who has been interning at various places throughout her education, completed her internship at the Rockefeller University Molecular Neuro-Oncology Laboratory in 2020. In the same year, she completed her master’s degree by defending hes thesis titled ‘Investigation of Vegf and Il1b Gene Expression in Wound Healing in Rat Models’. After graduation, she started her doctoral education at the Department of Medical and Clinical Microbiology of Near East University in 2022. Since 2022, she has been working at the Kit Production and Genome Analysis Laboratory of the Near East University- DESAM Research Institute. She has articles in national and international indexed journals and congress presentations. She has been awarded multiple verbal presentation awards. Her academic interests include Molecular Microbiology.
